How Technology Has Transformed Short Science Fiction and Fantasy

The world of publishing is changing dramatically with the creation of services like Kindle. One of the panels at the recent Worldcon discussed this issue focusing on the genre of science fiction and the medium of short stories. The panel included:

They discussed a number of topics ranging from future formats of magazines, the importance of Social Media, a growth in the number of novellas – indeed Clarke suggested we could well be entertaining a ‘golden age’ for the format – and the kind of science fiction short stories we can expect in the future.
