Script4Stage is seeking writers & directors for a pilot initiative with a £200 bursary available for writers.
The initiative will be run by Wyllie Longmore and Conor McKee in conjunction with The Lowry, Greater Manchester; The Dukes, Lancaster; and They Eat Culture/The Continental, Preston, and is funded by Arts Council England.
Writers will receive 2 days workshopping and one-to-one mentoring from the development team behind the sell out successes of Thrasher (The Royal Exchange Theatre & national tour) and Burnt (Contact Theatre & national tour), followed by sharings and Q&A sessions involving the public and industry experts on 24th, 25th and 31st May.
Directors will work with the development team and prepare the scripts for sharing under the mentoring of Wyllie Longmore. A £200 bursary is available to writers selected for the scheme, with one off workshop opportunities and concessionary tickets to the sharings available to other applicants.
