On Friday the 28th of October 2011 is Tell-a-Story Day, the national celebration of oral storytelling. This is a perfect opportunity to get together with your friends, family or community to rediscover the pleasure of telling and listening to stories.

To help you run your own event, the Scottish Story Telling Centre have all sorts of resources on their website. However, you’ll need to register by the 26th of September to make sure you get the information in time.

The difficult part is working out what kind of stories you want to tell. Enchanting fairy tales or scary Halloween stories. It is up to you!
